I've always wanted to see an Alvin Ailey dance performance. The photographs themselves are stunning - I can't imagine the reaction that the movement itself produces. The shapes in these photographs are the most interesting - and empowering.

william eggleston

in light of the fact that i never made it to LACMA while still in Los Angeles, i'd like to pay tribute to eggleston, who showed the beauty of ordinariness and everyday objects. it really wasn't until i saw eggleston's photographs that i began seeing the power of color in transforming something benign to spectacular.

since i moved into my new apartment, the furniture classifieds on craigslist has become an addiction. an addiction that must stop after i buy this mid-century teak dresser.

uta barth

i'd like to use uta barth's photograph: "Untitled (apt 4) from...and out of time" as my first post because to me, design is not necessarily about furniture or art. it is more about how their placement changes our consciousness. for some people, interior spaces are entirely unimportant compared to the beauty of the natural world, but i completely disagree and that's why i will continue to post beautiful spaces on my brand.new.blog.
